WWE and its Mexican promotion AAA are teaming up for Worlds Collide, airing live this Friday from Las Vegas. On Wednesday, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque promoted the event on X, revealing a striking new fight poster.
“We’re taking over Vegas once again,” Levesque wrote. “The night before Canelo vs. Crawford, Lucha Libre AAA & WWE present Worlds Collide . Live on YouTube at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.”

This weekend is a big fight weekend in Las Vegas. On Saturday, Canelo Álvarez faces Terence Crawford for the undisputed super middleweight title. The bout marks the first Zuffa Boxing event under the TKO banner — the parent company of the UFC and WWE. The UFC’s Dana White is promoting the fight, which will stream worldwide on Netflix from Allegiant Stadium.
As for Worlds Collide, its promotional poster channels the look of a classic boxing match. While it features stars from both WWE and AAA, it’s the two men meeting in the main event that draw the eye.
At the top of the poster are WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio and AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo. The two stars, both in their twenties, appear focused and intense. Behind them is Vikingo’s AAA Mega title, the prize they’re fighting for on Friday night.
Besides their technical and high-flying expertise, it’s the fans who could shape their match into an all-time classic. Despite being a heel, Mysterio draws some of the biggest reactions in the industry. Vikingo remains a popular figure in the States, but fans in Mexico rejected him after he beat Alberto Del Rio for the AAA title.
Fan emotions could create a charged atmosphere, especially as the match builds toward the finish.
