A few minor switches. San Diego State rises in the bowl order as they ride a four-game win streak, while the Bulldogs drop a bit. I considered dropping the Aggies out, but basically have them on the bubble this week. The Rebels remain cemented in the top Mountain West spot after clinching a bowl berth this past weekend.

UNLV became the first bowl-eligible team of the season, with three other teams on the verge of securing bowl eligibility (San Diego State, Fresno State, Hawaii). One thing is clear: there is a lot of parity in this conference, and anyone outside of Nevada is capable of stealing a victory. I think Boise State’s combination of offense and defense gives them a very slight edge over UNLV and San Diego State at this moment.

Fresno and San Jose both got upset by inferior teams. Bad losses. Dogs still have a track for a bowl spot. The Aztecs are clicking on all cylinders or on full charge. UNLV is still undefeated. Boise State is silently taking care of business. Hawaii can’t be discounted.

I’m not sold on Utah State or New Mexico just yet. Especially given that each has two straight losses. Looking at their schedules, they are both in must-win games next week.
