Baseball has not yet ended; just San Francisco Giants baseball. It’s a busy weekend of playoff baseball ahead, and with the San Francisco 49ers having played on Thursday, there’s not even any Bay Area
sports team to keep you from postseason baseball (unless preseason basketball is your thing).
So which games are you watching? The National League teams only play on Saturday, with Matthew Boyd and the Chicago Cubs visiting Freddy Peralta and the Milwaukee Brewers, while Shohei Ohtani leads the Los Angeles Dodgers to the east coast against Christopher Sánchez.
The American League teams play on both days of the weekend. The New York Yankees are scheduled to use Luis Gil and Max Fried as they visit the Toronto Blue Jays, who are opting for the duo of Kevin Gausman and TBD (the Giants went with that pitching pairing many, many times). In the other series, Troy Melton and Tarik Skubal lead the Detroit Tigers to the PNW, where they meet the Seattle Mariners and pitchers George Kirby and Luis Castillo.
So who are you watching this weekend?
