It is that time again, time where the participation by you the readers is going to be incredibly important.
The 2026 season is upon us and that means we get to rank prospects! The Good Phight’s community
prospect list is back for its second season with a small change. Last year, when we did this, we based a lot of our reports based on publicly available information that was free for all to see. Fangraphs and their prospect writing team does a great job of covering the team’s minor league system and we used that to show scouting reports of the players for our list. As of now, that list has for 2026 has yet to be published.
Instead, we’re going to utilize other reports from other places like Baseball Prospectus, Baseball America and MLB Pipeline. We will denote the place where we found the information, as well as give proper credit to those who have given the report. We’ll provide a snippet of a scouting report for each player, as well as what they did last year on the farm at whatever levels that player played at.
For our list, the small change from last year is below. Instead of giving you only five choices to choose from for the next prospect up, we’re giving you more. A lot more. As each name is moved off of the list thanks to being the choice by the readers, we’ll just keep moving more names up, as well as more names onto the list.
With all of that introduction out of the way, let’s get to the good part.
The Phillies’ player development system is low right now. They do have a good top of the list with the consensus trio of Aidan Miller, Andrew Painter and Justin Crawford a good way to begin a list, but all three of them will likely be off this list next season. The names towards the middle and bottom have the feeling of being “mid” at best, some tools jumping off the page without the full profile showing as “star”. The team has used its system to acquire major league talent to help the big club, but that has come at a price: the system being as weak as it is now.
So, let’s choose the top prospects in the team’s system. On this form, choose the team’s top prospect. Which player is the Phillies’ #1 prospect entering 2026?
We’ll post the results on Wednesday, with a brief synopsis of the player and a new set of players to choose from for the #2 prospect in the system. Happy voting!
