Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight-turned Welterweight Ignacio Bahamondes may not be the only member of his family headed for big things.
His younger brother, Alberth Bahamondes, scored a violent first-round knockout over Contender Series veteran Joey Hart
in the “Featured Bout” of LFA 245 this past weekend (Fri., Oct. 30, 2026) inside Seneca Niagara Event Center in Niagara Falls, New York. After spending the opening minute feinting and studying Hart’s reactions, Bahamondes suddenly exploded
forward with a crisp one-two combination. Hart immediately found himself retreating as “La Jaulita” swarmed him with another barrage of punches.
The pressure proved too much.
Bahamondes dropped Hart to the canvas and followed him down with several unanswered ground-and-pound shots, forcing the referee to intervene.

Not a bad way to introduce yourself to LFA.
Bahamondes improved his professional record to 8-1 at just 18 years old, with older brother Ignacio in his corner to watch the latest addition to the family highlight reel. The Chilean prospect has now won three consecutive fights since suffering the lone defeat of his career via split decision.
All eight of his professional victories have come by stoppage, including seven in the first round.
LFA has long served as one of UFC’s most reliable developmental pipelines, and Bahamondes will probably eventually follow his brother into the Octagon if he continues producing performances like this. At only 18, however, there is no reason to rush his development.
As for Hart (9-5), the loss snapped his two-fight winning streak. He is now 3-3 since competing for a UFC contract on Contender Series.
