The New York Giants have waived wide receiver/special teamer Dalen Cambre, who was just added to the team’s 53-man roster on Saturday, per the league’s transactions wire.
Cambre, a second-year player, figures to return to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
The Giants are signing running back Phil Mafah to their practice squad.
Mafah, 23, was a seventh-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. He appeared in one game for Dallas last season with five carries for 18 yards, and two receptions for 11
yards.
Mafah was waived by the Cowboys at the end of August in the cutdown to the 53-man roster limit.
Mafah, 6-foot-1, 232 pounds, was part of a workout conducted by the Giants on Monday. Others in the workout were:
