The Portland Fire (11-17) begin a five game homestand tonight with a matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (18-10). The Fire will be looking to snap a three game losing streak, while the Fever have tallied four wins in a row. In her most recent game against the Seattle Storm, Clark had a tremendous 32 points on 64.3% shooting from the field, 57.1% from three, and 100% from the free-throw line. Tip tonight is at 7:00 PM PDT.
The homestand comes at a vital time for the Fire if they are
to make a push for the playoffs. Portland is just one place out of the last spot in ninth place, but the gap between them and eighth place has been widening. The Fire are now 4.5 games back of the New York Liberty for that final spot, so banking some home wins now is pretty much a requirement for staying in the playoff hunt.
