According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich made approximately €3 million for its 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
Bayern Munich opened its 2026/27 season in a strong way. Nathaniel Brown opened the scoring in the 28th minute on his competitive Bayern Munich debut, finishing off a chance created by Michael Olise. Olise then doubled the advantage with an incredible individual effort just before halftime, capitalizing on a Borussia Dortmund mistake.
Borussia Dortmund did respond after the break, with Fabio Silva pulling one back in the 75th minute after a nice pass from Daniel Svensson. Bayern Munich had to withstand late pressure, but held firm to secure the trophy. The Bavarians probably got a little lucky, too, as BVB’s Maxi Beier skied an attempt from point-blank range late in the same.
It is another Franz Beckenbauer Supercup triumph for Vincent Kompany and an encouraging start to the new campaign.
