Nathaniel Brown is already feeling at home at Bayern Munich, and scoring at the Allianz Arena has made his start with the club even more memorable.
The Bayern Munich newcomer opened up about the emotions of finding the net on Saturday, highlighting just how special the moment was for a player who grew up in Bavaria. Wearing the Bayern Munich shirt at the Allianz Arena is already a dream in itself, but adding a goal to the occasion made it even more meaningful.
“It was a special feeling [to score on
Saturday]. I’m from Bavaria, and to be playing for this great club at the Allianz Arena – and to score a goal on top of that – feels brilliant. Overall, I feel very much at home here. I already knew a lot of the lads from the national team. Everyone has made me feel very welcome, including the coaching staff and the club employees,” Brown said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
That sense of belonging could be important as Brown continues to settle into Vincent Kompany’s squad. Joining a club of Bayern Munich’s size comes with enormous expectations, but having familiar faces around him can make the transition much smoother.
Brown’s early impressions are clearly positive, both on and off the pitch. His goal will give him confidence, while the warm welcome from his teammates and staff should help him adapt quickly.
For a player from Bavaria, there is something particularly special about scoring at the Allianz Arena in Bayern Munich colors. Brown has already experienced that feeling, and supporters will be hoping it is the first of many memorable moments.
