Bayern Munich captain, Manuel Neuer, has earned the privilege of featuring in many of the club’s most legendary teams of all time, including two treble winning sides, one in the 2012/13 season under Jupp
Heynckes and another in the 2019/2020 season with Hansi Flick.
Neuer has now given Vincent Kompany a massive endorsement, saying that the current Bayern team is among the best that he has ever played with.
“Yes, definitely,” said the 39-year-old shot-stopper (via @iMiaSanMia). “Everyone knows what they have to do, every player knows their role. The communication on the pitch is good, we’re helping each other and it’s working really well.”
Considering the form this Bayern side find themselves in, it’s no surprise Neuer would rank it so highly, and if they continue in this vein perhaps they could even be as good as or even better than one of the previous treble winning sides.
Where would you rank this Bayern team among previous seasons?
