Espanyol is getting close with Zaragoza (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)
If Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl can find a way to send off João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza by the end of the transfer window, he might secure a contract extension before that trio even finishes signing their new club contracts.
As it stands, Espanyol could be ready to take on the Spaniard:
🚨🔵⚪️ Espanyol are closing in on deal to sign Bryan Zaragoza from Bayern!
Details being discussed on initial loan deal with buy clause: Zaragoza said yes to the move tonight. 🇪🇸
Obviously, a sale would be preferable in this case, but another loan might be exactly what is needed. Nothing against Zaragoza, but it is clear that the two sides just need to move on from one another.
City reportedly gets deal done with Bouaddi (ESPN)
As has been rumored for a few weeks, Manchester City is going to get its man — Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi:
Manchester City have agreed a deal with Lille for midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, sources have told ESPN. The 18-year-old will move to the Etihad Stadium for €95 million ($111M) with another €5M ($5.8M) due in potential bonuses. He’s set to sign a long-term contract until 2031, with the option of another year.
That is a lot of money for Bouaddi, who is very good, but does not have the longest track record. If it works out, City will look like geniuses…if not, it is just money, right?
The kid looks very, very solid, so we shall see how his career progresses.
Nkunku headed back to Leipzig (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)

Nkunku wanted Leipzig, deal now agreed in principle.
Finally, Plettenberg checked in to say that Newcastle was trying to swoop in and grab Nkunku, but appears to be too late:
🚨⤵️ Exclusive news from today, official soon. Newcastle wanted to hijack, but CN only wanted Leipzig. RB and AC Milan have agreed, as revealed today. Loan with option to buy for less than €30m.
Nice tribute (X — Jan Åge Fjørtoft)
This was pretty cool by Newcastle United:
Leipzig could sell Vermeeren (Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze)
RB Leipzig is getting really busy here at the end of the transfer window and is looking to sell off central midfielder Arthur Vermeeren:
🔴 RB Leipzig are still open to offers for Arthur Vermeeren. They themselves want to strengthen the central midfield again. Vermeeren remains a candidate to leave the club. He has had a good pre-season, but Leipzig are willing to listen to offers/inquiries for him. @SkySportDE
Marmoush could be set to make move to Spurs (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)
🚨💣 BREAKING: Tottenham reach verbal agreement with Man City to sign Omar Marmoush, here we go!
