The Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament is down to the last few matchups of the first round! For those not in the know, over the last couple weeks—in addition to our usual coverage—we’ve been filling the slow time in NBA Summer with a series of polls. Each post lines up two good things against each other. They’re not related. They’re kind of random, in fact! You have one job: vote for one or the other and explain the reasoning for your vote. At the end, this March-Madness-style bracket will
culminate in the Best Thing Ever for 2026, based on your votes!
The matchup in this post is Kissing versus Computers.
Kissing needs no introduction. It’s one of the basic modes of human communication, a way to show warmth and affection…and sometimes more. Whether it’s a genteel European peck on the cheek greeting, a shy and awkward encounter between prospective romantic partners, or full-on slobbery snogging, there’s something endearing about it.
Computers have been around for decades but really started entering mainstream usage in the 1990’s. (For purposes of this tournament, we’re talking the PC/Laptop, in your home and office kind, not the chips in your phone or other appliances.) They’re a staple of the workplace, home offices, schools, and they even allow you to play some super fun games now and again! Life wouldn’t be the same without them!
So which one will it be for you? Kissing or Computers? Register your vote and share your reasoning in the comments section below!
