Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country.
The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks certainly made their fans happy last season, taking home the team’s second Lombardi Trophy.
However, expectations seem to follow success, and the Seahawks’ fan base has set the bar high for their team entering the 2026 season. At least according to those who answered our Fan Reacts Survey,
with over 52% of fans expecting the Seahawks to make it past the Wild Card Round and 29% projecting a second straight appearance in the NFC Championship.
Here are the full results:
Making the playoffs isn’t enough for some, with 13% saying that the team winning the Super Bowl for the second year in a row would be the minimum. That’s a near-impossible bar to reach, as only eight teams have repeated as Super Bowl champions, but Seahawks fans have become accustomed to winning and might not be ready to give it up yet.
This question was asked before quarterback Sam Darnold left the game against the New England Patriots, so there very well might need to be a reset depending on the severity of Darnold’s injury.
Setting expectations wasn’t the only question that fans were asked, as they were asked if they thought the Seahawks were heading in the right direction. The results may not shock you.
Yup, fans feel their team, fresh off a Super Bowl, is heading in the right direction. Despite several losses in the offseason, including the Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker, fans’ trust in general manager John Schneider has never been higher. They’re pretty fond of their head coach Mike Macdonald as well, making this a fairly obvious ‘Yes’ for nearly every fan.
That’s it for this week! Make sure to stay tapped in for the next SBNation Reacts Survey and let us know in the comments if you agree with your fellow fans.
