On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher defeated Adam Copeland and AEW World Champion Will Ospreay in a tag team match. It was pretty clear from the way things were booked that we are heading to Ospreay vs. Fletcher for AEW’s top prize at the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 14.
Fletcher tried to make an even stronger case for getting a world title match by wrestling against “Jungle” Jack Perry on tonight’s (Oct. 28) Fright Night episode of Dynamite. As far as I can
tell, Perry hasn’t won a match on Dynamite since back in April when he was teaming up with the Young Bucks. I don’t think he has won a singles match on Dynamite in 2026.
Even so, Fletcher and Perry were very evenly matched in this bout, with Perry kicking out of the sheer drop brainbuster and almost winning with the Snare Trap. Kyle had to use a Buckle Brainbuster that didn’t go quite right to finish off Jungle Man.
After barely being better than Perry, Fletcher was lifted in the air on the shoulders of Mark Davis and Jake Doyle as he challenged Ospreay to a world title match at Full Gear.
Tony Khan quickly made this Full Gear world title match official, assuming both men are still medically cleared to compete after going to war next week in Blood & Guts.
Ospreay and Fletcher are arguably two of the five best wrestlers in the world today. Will they find a way to put on a 7 star match in the main event of Full Gear? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
