We’re back with another Breaking T shirt, this time featuring the one and only Joey Ortiz… and his mustache.
Ortiz had a truly dismal first two months of the season — across 48 games, he hit .188/.287/.231 with one homer, two doubles, 11 RBIs, and 15 runs. He had a slightly better month of June — .250/.283/.357 over 22 games — but he’s come out of nowhere since that time as one of the better hitters in all of baseball. Since July 4, Ortiz has played in 32 games (110 plate appearances), batting .343/.391/.596
with five homers, six doubles, two triples, 19 RBIs, and 17 runs. That stretch has helped push his season line to a much more respectable .252/.317/.381 line while also providing some of the best defense in baseball.
