Orlando Pride’s Barbra Banda came back from injury in full force and hasn’t stopped scoring ever since. The same can be said about Melissa Kössler, who contributed to the important win of Denver against KC Current.
It’s the first time this has happened, and it makes you wonder if they can extend that scoring streak to four.
Sofia “Assists” Huerta
In the big win Seattle got on Wednesday night, Sofia Huerta reached another milestone. The 33-year-old registered a couple of assists when she set up Brittany Ratcliffe and Maddie Mercado, respectively. That’s 34 assists for the defender.
Utah Royals earn a point
The Royals had a fierce opponent to play last Wednesday when they faced the Washington Spirit at Audi Field. It looked like the match was going to end in another loss for Utah, but it finished in a draw when Sandy MacIver gifted the ball to Cece Delzer.
Delzer, in turn, assisted Mina Tanaka, who buried it in the back of the net. That goal was pretty significant for the club, since it was the 100th in the club’s history in the regular season.
