The annual Cubs Convention at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in downtown Chicago will take place Jan. 16-18, 2026, and weekend passes will go on sale tomorrow, Oct. 30, on the Cubs website.
Among Convention highlights
will be a celebration of the 150 years of club history dating to its National League roots that began in 1876. Also to be celebrated at this annual gathering is the 10-year anniversary of the 2016 World Series champions. While no attendees have yet been announced, I’m sure that will include Anthony Rizzo, who recently retired and joined the team as an ambassador, as well as perhaps other retired 2016 Cubs such as Jon Lester and Kyle Hendricks (who’s reportedly officially going to retire this offseason), and maybe even manager Joe Maddon.
Weekend passes are $125 (and $100 for kids 3-10, kids 2 and under are free). Cubs season-ticket holders will get a discounted rate of $100 ($80 for kids 3-10).
“We invite you to join us in a time-honored tradition that marks the unofficial start of the season,” said Chicago Cubs Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications Jen Martindale in a statement. “For three incredible days, you’ll feel the spirit and energy that only Cubs fans can bring as they share unforgettable moments with their favorite players and alumni.”
There’s a limit of eight passes per household. If you buy a weekend pass or hotel package by Thursday, November 13, you will have the opportunity to register your child for the popular youth baseball and softball clinic that will be held the Sunday of Cubs Convention. All young aspiring ballplayers who participate in the clinic must have their own Cubs Convention weekend pass.
To purchase weekend passes or hotel packages for the 2026 Cubs Convention, go to this page on the Cubs website. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Cubs Charities and its mission to level the playing field for Chicago’s youth and families.
