Tyson Fury has once again decided against retirement and plans to make his “sweet science” return opposite Arslanbek Makhmudov on Sat. night (April 11, 2026) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. The entire fight card (see it here) will stream exclusively on Netflix as the combat sports industry continues to distance itself from the pay-per-view (PPV) model.
Watch their final press conference, LIVE at 1 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
The 37 year-old Fury (34-2-1) walked away from the
“sweet science” following consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk back in 2024, claiming it was “a young man’s game.” Then just a few months back, “The Gypsy King” declared his intent to return because “he had nothing better to do.”
“I don’t know how I will beat [Fury], but of course I believe I will win,” Makhmudov told The Guardian. “This guy, he is a legend, one of the best heavyweights in history.Tyson Fury is the professor of mind and boxing. A lot of boxing is mental and he is a master. But boxing is also spiritual. I am going to be strong, spiritual and smart. You can say this is a war between mental and spiritual and we’ll see who is more successful.”
The 36 year-old Makhmudov (21-2) is coming off back-to-back wins over Ricardo Brown and David Allen in 2025, the latter of which landed the Russian “Lion” the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title. Makhmudov is a prolific finisher, having scored 19 knockouts in 21 wins over the course of his nine-year career.
