The Green Bay Packers received good injury news today, as both tight end Tucker Kraft and right tackle Zach Tom are cleared to play against the Cleveland Browns. Meanwhile, the Browns are out their top
tackle in Jack Conklin, which will make it a tough day for quarterback Joe Flacco versus this high-power pass-rush.
Beyond injury news, here’s what to expect from the Packers in this game:
- They should play a lot more base defense to combat the Browns’ high usage of two tight end sets.
- Cleveland’s run defense has been very good this year, which they’ve been able to achieve by playing a lot of man coverage and stacking the box. Assume that Jordan Love will continue to throw the ball deep, as he has in the first two weeks of the season.
- With Jayden Reed out, look for Matthew Golden to step up in a big way, potentially coming down with one of those deep shots.
