After two weeks on the road, the Los Angeles Rams get back home to SoFi Stadium for an October 12 matchup with the Buffalo Bills. The Monday Night Football kickoff is set for 5:15 p.m. PDT. Back onto even ground at 2-2, L.A. will try to get on the plus side of the ledger against a 3-1 Bills team whose only blemish came in last Sunday’s fourth quarter loss to the New England Patriots.
Limiting the Buffalo run game and forcing them into a one-dimensional offense would pay dividends for the Rams. James
Cook has pretty much been a one-man band for the Bills rush attack, while he’s not a power back, his vision and one-cut style make him a solid fit into Buffalo’s outside zone-based run game. He’s possesses the open-field moves and speed to gash defenses. Although quarterback Josh Allen hasn’t accrued a lot of yards in 2026, he’s still quite dangerous extending plays by breaking from the pocket or on designed runs. His size and athleticism creates big problems down near the goal line. Already this year, he’s got seven touchdowns on the ground.
The Rams lead the all-time series by a 9-6 margin, a limited Rams/Bills history. Although Buffalo was a founding member of the American Football league, there was no inter-league play until the 1970 NFL/AFL merger. Since Sean McVay took charge of the Rams in 2017, the two squads have met three times and Buffalo holds a 2-1 advantage.
