The Dallas Cowboys lost tight end Princeton Fant to a torn ACL on Monday. In a move to replace him, they have claimed Zack Kuntz off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Kuntz is a former seventh-round pick of the
New York Jets in 2023. In two seasons with the team, Kuntz only appeared in two games an didn’t log any stats. In August of 2025, Kuntz was waived by the Jets and then was selected by the DC Defenders of the UFL. However, Kuntz signed a futures contract with the Miami Dolphins on February 6th, but was waived on May 4th. Kuntz would then sign with the Raiders on July 31st before being released on Tuesday.
Kuntz hasn’t been able to find his footing in the NFL yet. Now, he gets another opportunity in Dallas to earn a roster spot in camp.
