Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what’s going on in pro wrestling — Wrestler Rankings are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the five performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why.
We also have the outcome of last week’s voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for the Cageside Cup, given to our Performer of the Year.
This week, we’re voting on nationally televised and
internet streaming pro wrestling shows that took place April 26-May 2, 2026 — Raw, NXT, Evolve, Dynamite, Impact, ROH on HonorClub, SmackDown, Collision, New Japan’s week worth of “Road to” shows, AAA & CMLL’s weekend shows, and everything else I’m no doubt forgetting.
But first, here’s the outcome of last week’s voting, and how those results changed our annual competition for the Cageside Cup.
He said what he said…

- The man who may have ended Brock Lesnar’s career at ‘Mania didn’t need to say much as a follow-up.
- He still faced a challenge from a call-up who got a big reaction on SmackDown, and everyone’s favorite (except Maryse and her man) you-know-who-hausen.
- AEW’s fighting World champ grabbed fourth, and the Psycho Killer who gave him a fight took seventh.
- In the middle of our first Rankings of the “year” were WWE’s new Women’s United States champion and the Samoan Werewolf coming for the Tribal Chief.
- All Ego picked up a win in his SD debut, Sol Ruca’s former bestie ended their story (for now) with a Last Woman Standing victory, and the host of American Gladiators has been selling his ass off for WWE’s new merch machine; that’s why they round out the Rankings.
The CCWR: 2026-27, Week 1

Points in our weekly Rankings determine the ongoing annual one — which will determine who wins the Cageside Cup next April. Full details on rules and scoring HERE.
But that looks identical to the above right now, so the annual Top Ten will return next Sunday.
“I got a lot of good ideas. Trouble is, most of them suck. ”
Last week, I floated the idea of having a PPV/PLE multiplier, as a way to give winners of weeks that contain an AEW or WWE event a bonus as opposed to someone who finishes first when there’s not a whole lot going on. It wasn’t universally voted down, but the majority were opposed — and made a lot of really good points in the process. Thanks especially to FuddRuckus.
So we’ll truck along with our weird little system of trying to see who’s impressing our community most from week-to-week and year-to-year. Although I’m intrigued by 2bertu’s idea of moving this post to after Sunday PPVs…
Ready to do it again? You can always check the “how to” here if you need to, or ask a question in the comments. The main things you need to know are you have five spots on your ballot, you can’t put the same person in two of them, but you can split a single or multiple spots between multiple wrestlers. Now…
Let’s have those ballots! We’ll take it from there, and see you back here in a week for the results and another vote!
