Is Mbappé pushing for Olise move? (Defensa Central)
According to this report, Kylian Mbappé wants Bayern Munich star Michael Olise at Real Madrid, but even the French superstar knows it will not be easy to bring his countryman to Spain:
If it were up to the French national team’s number 10, he would be delighted if Real Madrid made a move to sign his compatriot. He’s one of the players who has the best understanding with him and is always looking for him on the pitch. Furthermore, despite being a star, he has no problem playing for the team and for a lethal
goalscorer like Kylian. However, he’s aware of the difficulty due to his market value and contract situation. Moreover, it would be complicated to find a place for him in the Real Madrid squad.
Could Mbappé really push Olise to consider asking for a move? Maybe, but right now Olise has not said anything publicly (nor privately either it seems) about wanting to leave Bayern Munich. Surely, when Olise returns to Germany, he will be asked about the situation, and maybe at that point we will learn more about how the Frenchman feels, rather than reports about how he feels.
Also, this is a great time to just drop Dictator Mbappé memes in the comments. I don’t know the origination of Dictator Mbappé, but it does make me laugh without any context.
Falk doesn’t see Real signing Haaland (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Real Madrid is involved in a ton of rumors right now, including one involving Manchester City’s Erling Haaland:
Perhaps it’s to his advantage, as this season he was in really, really good shape, but at the World Cup he only had an okay tournament. Perhaps things are calming down somewhat, as he could have proved his elite status in football in the semi-final against Spain, but he didn’t show it. Perhaps the winger knows now that he still has more to learn before he hits the absolute peak of his powers. Evidently, the rumours have quietened down, and it’s easier for FC Bayern to keep Olise if he’s not a world champion.
I think Real Madrid have the same chance of signing Michael Olise as they do Erling Haaland this summer! I’m happy that they see there’s no chance of signing the Frenchman this summer, and if they move away, they’re more than welcome to try things with Haaland. Though I expect the answer to be the same. This summer: no chance. Next summer, I think it will be very interesting to see what will happen with Olise, whether he signs a new contract or not. If he doesn’t, Bayern have to do something. Perhaps they have to sell him. But for this summer, Michael Olise will stay at Bayern Munich.
It would seem very doubtful that Haaland would leave City this summer, but Real Madrid is certainly not afraid to try.
Milan to make a move for Mazraoui? (ESPN)
AC Milan could be looking at former Bayern Munich defender and current Manchester United player Noussair Mazraoui:
Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has been added to the shortlist of new AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim, Calciomercato reports. Amorim signed Mazraoui when he was in charge at Old Trafford and now the Rossoneri are preparing to begin talks over a move for the 28-year-old, who has been lined up as a replacement for Aston Villa-linked Pervis Estupiñán. Any deal for Mazraoui is expected to hinge on whether he pushes for a switch to San Siro, with the Premier League club not keen on letting him go.

These reported targets of FC Bayern – both 16 years of age – would very much fit within the club’s modern transfer philosophy. Certainly, with the way in which sporting director Christoph Freund likes to run recruitment. He did the same at RB Salzburg when he worked there as a boss. Lennart Karl, of course, is the big, shining example at Bayern when it comes to recruiting young talents and developing them at Säbener Straße. There are multiple ways of going about this. If we do this, you can see how it works for the future; you can give them a chance to play, loan them out or even earn money from them. This is part of the modern philosophy. It’s not just about finding the next big talent, but also about raising funds from young players.
We’ve seen it already in the current transfer window, which is proving very difficult for Max Eberl, where it’s the young players (Jonah Kusi-Asare and, perhaps soon, Noël Aséko) he could manage to sell. Not the older stars on big salaries. When you see a few million euros here and a few million euros there, it all adds up! If you sell a bunch of these talents, you suddenly have enough money to buy a Givairo Read, for instance. I think it’s a really interesting approach. Whether it works out with Srb and Parker, we’ll have to see, because you also have to persuade them to go to Bayern Munich when the squad is already stacked with talent. But still, you always have the example of Lennart Karl, who made it. So, perhaps they could make it, too.

Norway’s Andreas Schjelderup is getting some big interest after his performance at the World Cup:
Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup, A Bola reports. Schjelderup, 22, made six appearances for Norway at the World Cup and impressed, with all three Premier League clubs watching his situation closely. Despite having two years remaining on his contract, Schjelderup is considering the possibility of a new challenge this summer and any move is expected to require an offer worth at least €40 million.
