Video: Conor McGregor has finally found God (thank God) – ‘I am healed’

A brand new “Notorious” has arrived.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is making its highly anticipated debut in Rome, Italy, this weekend (Sat., Oct. 25, 2025), headlined by Alessio Sakara vs.

Chris Camozzi for the Cruiserweight title. But before fight night, all eyes were on co-owner Conor McGregor , who appeared at the pre-fight press conference and delivered a surprisingly emotional message.

When asked about his road back to competition, promoting BKFC, and his expected Octagon return at next year’s UFC White House event, McGregor spoke openly about his renewed faith and spiritual transformation.

“I am not here just by chance. There is a higher power — God — that dictates my journey,” McGregor said. “I live my life by God’s word, and since the last event, I have engaged in a spiritual journey. I’m saved. I’m healed. On the back of that, the world is in for a treat. My competitive spark that was once in my heart is now a roaring blaze, so I’m very excited.”

McGregor went on to praise the BKFC fighters on stage for their passion and discipline:

“You know, I envy these men up here. They’re about to make weight, and they’re going to go in and entertain and do what they were called to do — as am I called to do. I had to dial myself back, go inward, and I have done that. I am very, very excited to come back myself.”

It’s been a turbulent few years for McGregor, who hasn’t fought since breaking his leg (see it here) against Dustin Poirier in 2021. Between injuries and a lot of outside-the-cage controversies (like this), many believed a return was never happening.

Whether this “reborn” version of McGregor truly represents a new chapter — or another headline-grabbing reinvention — remains to be seen because there are a lot of religious fighters who do bad things.

For now, the Irish superstar insists his comeback next summer against Michael Chandler is happening.
