Barcelona have confirmed that Xavi Espart has renewed his contract with the club until 2030.
The youngster has broken into the first team this season, impressing at left-back for Hansi Flick’s side.
The versatile La Masia graduate can also play at right-back and in midfield and looks to have a very bright future ahead of him.
Barcelona have made sure that his future is locked down by extending his contract for another
four years.
“Contract extension agreement reached between FC Barcelona and the player Xavi Espart, who is now set to stay with the Club through to 30 June 2030,“ read a club statement.
“The Club and player will formally sign the contract at the Club offices in the presence of FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta in the coming days. Once signed, Xavi Espart will speak with the media.”
Barcelona manager Flick has already made it clear just how highly he rates Espart, saying last season that he reminds him of Germany legend Philipp Lahm.
