Tiffany Stratton was an immediate big hit on the WWE main roster in 2024, before “Tiffy Time” took over as the WWE women’s champion for most of 2025. But what if she had a different NXT ring name to begin with?
On her Twitch stream, Stratton said the decision on her ring name ultimately came down two choices, with “Veronica Swanson” just missing the final cut.
“It was between Tiffany Stratton or Veronica Swanson. Veronica Swanson! Do you guys think I look like a Veronica?”
Stratton laughed about the
“Swanson Bomb” being her potential finishing move under that alternate ring name. She also mentioned an idea for another ring name that she liked, but never pitched to WWE.
“The name I would like? I actually thought about this a long time ago, and I’m like, why didn’t I put it down? I thought about doing the name Darbie, so I could be called, like, the Darbie Doll. But, I don’t think that they would’ve gone for that. Yeah, I am really happy [that WWE picked the name Tiffany]. It’s my mom’s name. I like the name Tiffany a lot.”
Yeah, I think it’s for the best that Darbie Doll was not a thing.
