The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the offseason with questions surrounding the quarterback position – a spot they’ve found themselves in for five consecutive years now.
Aaron Rodgers’ future is up in the air, as the four-time MVP has yet to decide if he will return for a 22nd season or retire. Regardless of whether he returns or not, there is one superstar who likes what the Steelers have.
Speaking on his podcast, The Rush, Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby gave great praise to Will Howard.
“I’m
a Will Howard believer, I’m not gonna lie,” Crosby said. “I think he’s a helluva player. I think Will Howard’s got the size, he’s got the intangibles, he’s talented, he’s a smart quarterback. I think Will Howard just sitting there, learning behind McCarthy and Rodgers is gonna do that franchise a lot of great things.”
Howard was drafted in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Regardless on if Aaron Rodgers returns in 2026, McCarthy has expressed excitement about working with the now second-year quarterback.
“I’m real excited about Will Howard,” McCarthy said during his introductory press conference. “He’s someone that I thought really came on there at Ohio State. I’m anxious to work with him.”
