It’s Florida State week for Miami Hurricanes and we had some FSU fans write in to confess their sins of being a Seminoles supporter. Luckily for the ‘Noles out there I’m a fair person and decided to help our rivals find redemption for being an FSU fan and/or a lover of the city of Tallahassee, FL.
1 My favorite song only has two lyrics. I’m sure it took years of writing prior to AI existing for an FSU student or fan to come up with the lyrics to the Warchant but “ah” and “oh” would make the Black
Eyed Peas blush in embarrassment.

There isn’t a fanbase chant more annoying, no- not even UT singing “Rocky Top,” than hearing the Warchant over and over again. I’m always amazed by the sheer volume of times fans can say “ah” and “oh” without getting bored even during an FSU loss to some mediocre FCS team.
Then again it would probably take a teacher’s assistant yelling out the answers to the lyrics for the ‘Noles student body to pass a musical appreciation exam that only covered the history of the Warchant.
2 I enjoy cultural appropriation. The Warchant is one line to cross, regalia is another.

FSU fans should NOT wear regalia. Chop your arm, say ah and oh, but keep the headdresses back in 1975.

I honestly thought it was against school policy to wear headdresses at FSU games but we’ll take a quantum leap that those three slaps above are members of at least some tribe, even if it’s just the tribe of white trash.
3 I’m stuck visiting Tallahassee every year. It’s one thing to ride a scholarship to Tally and get stuck there for four years (or six for a ‘Nole student) but to actively choose a trip to Tallahassee post-graduation makes me wonder if you’re a masochist or you got lost on the way to somewhere better.
But if you are making the trek to Tally this weekend make sure to check out our Storm Chasers post above and hit the hot spots that were recommended to SOTU by an FSU alumnus.
