The holiday season is months away, but for some they’re already dreaming of snowy days by the fireplace.
I know for my family, the holidays are often a divided house with the men mostly gathered in a room watching football games, while the women are in another part of the house watching Hallmark holiday movies.
But this year, Hallmark wants to bring all of us together.
Last season, the Buffalo Bills were featured as the backdrop for “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.” And it all started back in
2024 with the “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” based on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The Chicago Bears announced today they will be this year’s team affiliated with a Hallmark movie.
In the vein of Hallmark originality, the movie will be called “Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story.”
In case the movie hasn’t already been written, or they need some ideas…our staff made pitches for Bears-themed Hallmark movie plots back in 2024.
There was a touch of true-story element to one of those plots (hint, it was Les and it had to do with my now-wife).
So Hallmark, take notes.
I can only guess which players or coaches will have cameos in it, but I imagine Colston Loveland and coach Ben Johnson are good guesses, based on the announcement. I doubt Caleb Williams can make time in his busy schedule, but you never know.
I usually roll my eyes and begrudingly sit through a couple of Hallmark movies each season. But this one will actually get me to check it out.
Bears fans, will this get you to tune in for a Hallmark movie? Or are they already holiday-season required watching for you? Let us know in the comments! And definitely check out our Bears-themed movie pitches; they are still very funny.
