Miss me? Well, most of you probably didn’t even clock that you hadn’t read an article from me in a while considering we’re in the dog days of summer here and the Royals continue to plod along slowly. That’s totally fair. But I have been without internet for most of the past 10 days, sailing a cruise boat in the Alaskan waters. It was a great trip and I greatly delighted in the freedom of not knowing or caring if the Royals lost—I highly recommend a good unplugging, as it were.
Anyway, I came back
to find out that Bobby Witt Jr. hit the injured list. Guess I can’t leave ever again, huh.
Today, the Royals play the Minnesota Twins, who are fighting for their lives in a rather mediocre American League Central. Kansas City is comfortably sprawled out on the basement floor, but that doesn’t mean they can’t grab an ankle as it goes by to drag someone else down. Today’s one of those times.
