It’s been an up and down beginning to SEC play for Mizzou Basketball, but after the way the non-conference unfolded, a 4-3 start with three Quad 1 wins feels like Missouri is starting to turn things around at the most important time.
However, there’s a lot of work to be done to build their resume in hopes of making the NCAA Tournament and it still feels like an uphill climb.
As we near the halfway point of the conference season – the margin for error is slim. Six of Missouri’s final 11 regular-season games are on the road – including a tall task at No. 23 Alabama tonight.
For the most part, Mizzou has taken care of business at home with a 12-1 record but their lone loss to previously ranked Georgia was a huge, missed opportunity.
While the path is there for Mizzou to make the NCAA Tournament, the odds are up against them as KenPom currently predicts Missouri to finish 8-10 in conference play.
Is that about right for this team? Or will the Tigers be able to flip a couple of results to sneak in the NCAA Tournament? Maybe they go on a legitimate run and earn a solid seed?
In our latest SBN Reacts, we ask you this: What will Mizzou Basketball’s conference record be at the end of the regular season?
