Fresh off their bye week, the Wisconsin Badgers have quite a challenging month ahead of them with three ranked opponents and a rivalry game.
First up is the No. 20 Michigan Wolverines at the Big House, as Wisconsin will head to Ann Arbor for an 11:00 a.m. kickoff on FOX, getting the Big Noon Kickoff coverage.
It’s been a less-than-ideal start to the year for the Badgers, who are on a two-game losing streak with defeats to both the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Maryland Terrapins to start the year.
On
the flip side, Michigan has started off strong, going 3-1 with its lone loss being on the road to the now-No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners. Michigan kicked off conference play with a nice 30-27 road victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and they also got to enjoy a bye week this past weekend.
The Wolverines have been working behind true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, who has flashed early on, throwing for 733 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, while completing 56.9 percent of his passes.
They have a strong running game, headlined by Alabama transfer Justice Haynes, and a quality defense that has 14 sacks on the season and seven takeaways on the season.
What are the odds looking like ahead of this weekend’s matchup?
Unsurprisingly, the Badgers are significant 16.5-point underdogs on the road, with the over/under set at 42.5 points.
Wisconsin is projected to score less than 13.5 points, speaking to where its offense stands right now without certainty at quarterback. Defensively, the Badgers haven’t looked great either, as they haven’t affected the quarterback much, putting their secondary in difficult situations in man coverage.
It’ll be a challenge for the Badgers, and we’ll get to see exactly how this team looks to fight after two humiliating losses.
