Bayern Munich returned from the international break with a sluggish start against SC Freiburg. Freiburg jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Bayern roared back with six unanswered goals. Bayern recovered from the early
deficit thanks to Lennart Karl and Michael Olise finding each other for a goal apiece before the halftime whistle.
Next up on Bayern’s slate is the Champions League betting favorite and Premier League leader, Arsenal. Bayern will want to follow the club’s preferred winning formula of scoring early and often while never trailing.
“Of course we weren’t happy with the situation after going 0-2 behind,” said Jonathan Tah (via @iMiaSanMia). “We knew we had to step it up a gear or two, and we did that quickly. Then we had the right energy level. We know we can turn a game around at any time. We also have the team spirit and togetherness to do it. We need to be more attentive as a team on set pieces. We’re really looking forward to the game at Arsenal; it’s something special. We’re going into it with complete confidence and want to get the three points. It’s going to be a very exciting match.”
With Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer expected to return to the starting lineup against Arsenal, Bayern’s confidence will be sky high in London.
