Bandido and Brody King are fighting champions atop the AEW tag team division. So much so that Brodido voyaged to Arena Mexico for an AEW tag title defense in CMLL on Friday night (Sept. 12, 2025).
Brodido put the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line against challengers Difunto and Zandokan Jr. in the main event. The finish was wild. Bandido went for the 21 Plex, but Difunto grabbed the ropes to block. Zandokan grabbed a waist lock on Bandido to help his partner. King followed from behind to grab Zandokan for a massive
German suplex train to all three luchadores at the same time. King pinned Zandokan off that maneuver to win. The gold remains with Brodido.
Enjoy the action-packed highlight reel.
Brodido is racking up title defenses. They won the AEW World Tag Team Championship from the Hurt Syndicate in a three-way with FTR on August 24. The first defense was victory over the Death Riders’ duo Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta on September 3. This CMLL bout is another notch on the résumé.
