Logan Paul recently said he signed a contract to be a full-time wrestler in WWE. During an interview today on The Pat McAfee Show, Logan said he never expected to be in this position years ago when he began his career as a YouTube douchebag.
“Hell no, Pat! This is crazy! I’m a legitimate professional athlete now, which is just insane to say. But life is about the
art of the pivot, you know? Doing what you’re good at, doing what you love, and finding that pocket, and then just running it.”
The full-time legit pro athlete went on to say he is completely “locked in” right now with the Royal Rumble coming up on Saturday (Jan. 31) in Saudi Arabia.
“I’m training every day. I’m going back-to-back-to-back on meetings. I’m absolutely optimizing and maximizing my life. Everywhere we go, I’m stacking in the opportunities. Because being a WWE Superstar gives you the opportunity to amplify what you want to build, both inside and outside of the WWE. So when we go somewhere, when we travel, I’m doing business meetings. I’m training. I’m bonding with The Vision and Paul Heyman. I’m learning. I’m just like, man, I can’t believe how locked in I am.”
Logan admitted he’s concerned about part-time legitimate pro athlete Brock Lesnar also being in the Royal Rumble match. Perhaps he should have a chat with Paul Heyman to increase the probability that Lesnar doesn’t rip his head off in a matter of seconds if they cross paths in Saudi Arabia.
Do you consider Logan Paul to be a “legitimate professional athlete” now based on his career in the scripted universe world of WWE? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
