The Red Sox have not exactly dominated this series but still find themselves with a chance to take two of three from the Mariners. Boston needs better production on the mound after surrendering 17 runs in the first two games. Patrick Sandoval is in line to do that after a terrific yet run-support-less start last time out against the Yankees when he allowed just one earned run over 5 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts.
