Maryland men’s basketball guard Isaiah Watts is entering the transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos first reported Friday.
Watts came to Maryland after two seasons at Washington State, and was a bit of a disappointment in College Park compared to expectations. In 32 appearances and eight starts, Watts only played 17.1 minutes per game, averaging 4.3 points per game on an abysmal
33.8% from the field and 29.3% from 3-point range.
Watts did have his flashes, though, scoring 18 points against Marquette, 17 against Old Dominion and 12 against Iowa on 4-of-6 from deep in the Big Ten Tournament.
He’s the fourth Terp to enter the transfer portal, following freshmen Aleks Alston, Nick Blake and Jaziah Harper. Maryland has not yet signed anyone from the portal.
