Alejandro Balde is facing an uncertain future at Barcelona as we head towards the end of the summer transfer window.
The left-back was left out of the squad for Sunday’s 5-0 win over Elche, with Hansi Flick saying the defender needs time to clear his head.
Premier League clubs including Manchester United and Aston Villa are already being linked with Balde, and he may not lack for offers if he does decide to leave.
Barcelona also seem to have plenty of cover already. Xavi Espart took over against Elche
and put in another fine performance, while Joao Cancelo has now signed a permanent three-year deal at the club.
Even so, any potential departure could mean that Barcelona return to the market in search of defensive reinforcements for the new season.
