Football:
Both Miami and FSU will be ranked for tomorrow night’s primetime clash; it will be the first time both programs are ranked in the game since 2016; the game known lovingly in every FSU’s fan heart as ‘The Block at The Rock’
Another instant classic in this rivalry could be on the way.
If Miami wins tomorrow it’ll because of the talent they’ve stockpiled on the offensive and defensive lines. Adam Lichtenstein of the Sun Sentinel joined Tomahawknation to preview the top-20 match-up and the first one with
real national stakes since 2016.
Adam Lichtenstein: I think this will be a really good game in an electric atmosphere, but I think Miami is better at most position matchups and just has more paths to victory. It’ll be entertaining, but I think the Hurricanes ultimately win by a touchdown or so.
If Florida State wins tomorrow it’ll be because they excelled at these three specific things.
Recruiting:
FSU is expected to have at least ten flip candidates on campus for the rivalry match-up vs. Miami.
Four-star RB Carsyn Baker (Florida)
Four-star RB Amari Thomas (South Carolina)
Three-star Edge Kamron Wilson (Syracuse)
Four-star Edge Jarius Rodgers (Syracuse)
Three-star TE Corbyn Fordham (Ohio State)
Three-star TE Aaron Thomas (Ohio State)
Both Ohio State commitments are legacy recruits whose fathers played at Florida State.
A strong showing this weekend can set the floor for a strong finish to 2026 and a great start to the 2027 class.
