While the Cleveland Browns made five additions official at the actual start of the league year and NFL free agency, after one became official on Tuesday, the team is far from done building its roster. S Ronnie Hickman was also tendered on Wednesday, while three others, along with OL Joel Bitonio, hit unrestricted free agency.
There are a load of players, along with the three new additions, hitting free agency from the Browns 2025 roster. On the defensive side, the team has already lost LB Devin Bush
and DE Cameron Thomas early in the free agent process.
According to a report, Cleveland is retaining CB D’Angelo Ross, a player they added to the roster in Week 12 of the 2025 season:
Ross is entering his fifth season in the NFL after going undrafted out of New Mexico in 2018. The 5’8” cornerback has played in 36 career games, including seven with the Browns in 2025. Primarily a nickel corner and special teams player, Ross will have a battle with a number of others to make Cleveland’s 53-man roster in 2026.
