Former Kentucky Wildcat and now member of the Detroit Lions, Josh Paschal, was recently featured in a short documentary discussing his cancer diagnosis and path to the NFL.
The documentary was produced
by the Detroit Lions as part of the NFL’s Crucial Catch initiative, a partnership with the American Cancer Society that aims to help more people catch cancer early, and address the unequal burden of cancer in under-resourced communities.
Many Kentucky fans remember when Paschal was diagnosed with melanoma in 2018 before the beginning of his sophomore season. This 34-minute documentary goes into great detail about the events leading up to the diagnosis and his journey.
Fair warning: it’s very emotional, so don’t be surprised if you shed a tear… or two… or three…
I won’t spoil too much of it, but if you do anything today, take about half-an-hour to watch this. I promise it’s worth it.
I think we’ve all been Josh Paschal fans since his time at Kentucky, but this makes you want to root for him even more.
Tweet of the Day
Glad to see Kentucky in the game.
