Baseball has its Final Four. The Cubs’ comeback from down 0-2 to the Brewers in the Division Series ultimately fell short, as despite winning their two home games at Wrigley to stay alive, they couldn’t
take the finale in Milwaukee. The Brew Crew advanced to their first National League Championship Series since 2018 … when they also faced the Dodgers and fell in seven. Christian Yelich and Freddy Peralta are the only Brewers remaining from that club, but Milwaukee will likely have a lot of otherwise-neutral fans throughout the country to see if someone can take down the defending champions.
Today on the site, Jake will recap that decisive NLDS Game 5, Peter will look back at the specific moments that were most consequential in the Yankees’ postseason downfall, and John will have the Social Media Spotlight. If you’re watching Game 1 of the ALCS, feel free to comment here.
