It’s been a war of words this week between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. The two teams are both 5-2 and are playing for first place in the AFC North this Sunday.
Browns edge rusher Jared Verse made very testy comments about the Steelers early in the week, describing the Steelers as “dirty.” Steelers edge rusher Cam Heyward responded on The Rich Eisen Show.
“Those are words that were said and they will be addressed,” Heyward said.
Verse continued adding fuel to the fire.
“I’m not worried
about Cam. I’m not worried about their O-line. I’m not worried about nobody they got on their team,” Verse said.
Steelers offensive tackle Troy Fautanu was asked about the comments, but the young offensive tackle seems to be taking the high road.
“I don’t know what he’s talking about honestly,” Fautanu said Jack Markowski. “I got no comment, I’m just excited to play this game. We’re gonna go out there and continue to play our game.”
Verse enters the game with zero sacks on the season.
