Good morning from lovely Grant Park in Atlanta. Yes, Georgia Tech football must again field a team in this desolate, forgettable 2026 season where Tech is sitting at 2-6 and welcome the 5-3 Louisville Cardinals who still have an outside shot at making the ACC Championship game.
To put it lightly, Tech is severely overmatched today, missing another new round of players from Rahkeem Smith to J.P. Powell to Jordan Boyd.
On top of that, there is a chance Alberto Mendoza does not start at quarterback after Brent Key’s comments earlier this week indicated that all starting positions would be decided on Thursday night. If Mendoza does not play, backup Grady Adamson is expected to fill in, who replaced Mendoza at the end of last week’s loss in Pittsburgh.
As the advanced stats indicate, Louisville should have no problem running and passing all over Tech’s defense.
