The Buffalo Bills lost to the Denver Broncos on Saturday, turning the ball over like they haven’t in a very long time to lose, eliminating them from the postseason.
James Cook had a fumble in scoring range in the first half, and Josh Allen fumbled twice directly leading to points for the Broncos on both occasions. Allen’s interception when the Bills were threatening in Denver territory cost Buffalo another scoring opportunity, as well. The Bills just made too many huge mistakes to win the game.
Buffalo
was -4 in the turnover battle, losing five and grabbing one. They were -3 in turnovers once in 2025 during the regular season, losing to the Houston Texans 23-19. The Bills haven’t turned the ball over four times since a loss to the Indianapolis Colts in 2021. The last time the Bills lost five turnovers and were -5 in the turnover battle was against the Colts in 2018, Josh Allen’s rookie year. They lost that game, too.
It’s another season of disappointment for the Bills, who saw the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes not even qualify for the postseason. Losing to Bo Nix and the Broncos is a much more difficult plane ride home and offseason for the Bills.
The Broncos move on to play the winner of the New England Patriots and the Houston Texans to see who will head to the Super Bowl.
