Signing another winger is thought to be a priority for Florent Ghisolfi this summer, particularly following the departure of Bertrand Traore.
Roma’s Matias Soule has been strongly linked with a move to Sunderland, with the club said to be competing with Fulham for his signature, but another new name has emerged this morning.
According to Muchacalidad, Sunderland have enquired about Celta Vigo winger Williot Swedberg. The 22-year-old has seen his value skyrocket after a fantastic season in Spain, where
he scored 10 goals in all competitions, including 5 in the Europa League, and provided 7 assists.
Although left-footed, he can play on both wings and through the middle of the pitch, and scored both goals in a 2-0 away win at Real Madrid in La Liga.
Swedberg is under contract with Celta until 2029 following a contract extension at the beginning of last season, with the report claiming his value has reached €20m.
