With the series tied at one game apiece, the Blue Jays and Dodgers resume their battle for the championship trophy out in Los Angeles on Monday night. Two guys who’ve been around the block a bit are starting
for their respective teams, with Max Scherzer, now 41 years old, and Tyler Glasnow, 32, on the mound as the game begins.
Taking a 2-1 lead in a best of seven guarantees nothing, but the team that wins will sure feel better about its chances the rest of the way. That will be particularly true if Toronto can win it, because they’ve always got Game 6 and 7 as a backstop back at their home park. Not that this guarantees them anything either, as they know since they knocked off Seattle in Games 6 and 7 in Seattle in the ALCS. I’m sure it was brutal.
