The 2026 SEC Football schedule was announced Thursday night live on the SEC Network. Mizzou will open their 2026 slate and seventh year under head coach Eli Drinkwitz vs FCS opponent Arkansas Pine-Bluff
on Saturday, September 5th (but that could change to a Thursday night like previous years).
Mizzou’s non-conference slate is highlighted by the Border War at kansas in Lawrence on September 12th. Following that week, Missouri will host Troy on September 19th in another non-conference game. That’s their full non-con schedule as the SEC is going to nine league games starting next season.
For their SEC opener, Missouri will travel to Starkville at Mississippi State on September 26th. In their SEC home opener, Mizzou will host Florida on October 3rd.
Missouri’s big time home games that will present major opportunities are vs Texas A&M (October 10th), vs Texas (November 7th), and vs Oklahoma on rivalry weekend (November 28th). The Tigers’ toughest road games are highlighted by at Ole Miss (October 17th) and at Georgia (November 14th).
In a weird scheduling quirk, Mizzou will play Arkansas in Fayetteville on Halloween instead of Thanksgiving weekend. And for the first time since the COVID year, Kentucky will visit Missouri in Columbia on November 21st.
Here’s Missouri’s full schedule per the Mizzou Football Twitter (X) account.
Quick analysis: While every SEC game is going to be tough, Mizzou should have an advantageous start at Mississippi State and vs Florida. A 2-0 start to conference play feels like a must. The other must-wins at this stage feel like Arkansas and Kentucky if they want to put together a good season. Everything else looks like a gauntlet, but that’s life in this conference.
