Barcelona loanee Marc Casado is expected to be out of action for around three months after undergoing surgery on a fractured collarbone.
Casado sustained the injury in Deportivo’s draw with Real Betis on Sunday. He was forced off in the first half and the club subsequently confirmed he had gone under the knife.
An update from Diario AS says that the “expected” recovery time for such an injury is 8-12 weeks and that Casado may not be back until January 2027.
If the estimate proves accurate it will be
a huge blow for the club and Casado, with the midfielder potentially set to miss 10 La Liga matches.
Deportivo’s first game of 2027 is against Celta Vigo in January, and the hope is that the Barcelona star will be fit for that game.
Casado moved to Deportivo in search of regular game time but has only played three times so far and is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
