Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior talked to CazeTV and shared some thoughts about his contract extension. Vinicius’ deal with Los Blancos expires in the summer of 2027, meaning that he will be able to negotiate with other teams next January.
“I am not in a rush to renew my contract. I have a contract until 2027. So, until 2027, we have a great deal to discuss with Madrid, and Madrid has a great deal to discuss with us. Real Madrid is calm, and I am calm. The president trusts me, and I trust him.
And that’s all there is to it; we just have to wait and live each day, each moment, and enjoy the best club in the world,” said Vinicius.
The Brazilian attacker and Real Madrid have not reached an agreement yet, but it could happen after the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
“I’ve never pictured myself away from Real Madrid. I thoroughly enjoy every moment I spend here, as it’s the club of my dreams. I always dreamed of playing here and being able to do so for such an extended period. Now, I’m one of the team captains. Despite my youth, it’s a significant occurrence that rarely happens in history. So, I savor every moment. I want to remain here my entire life, but I’m not in a rush to renew my contract,” he added.
The two sides will likely resume talks after the tournament and reports on the Spanish press indicate that an agreement should be expected.
